King & Queen of Invy 28th-29th January 2012

kq prs

This weekend event allows everyone to have a go, regardless of ability, families looking for a little exercise can enter just one event and those athletes looking for a challenge can enter all three. Inverloch is a beautiful coastal town with a magnificent inlet for safe water sports. the events are a fundraiser for the Inverloch Surf Lifesaving Club, an essential part of any coastal town.

A unique multi-sport format; those who compete in the 12km paddle, 10km run and 1.2km swim are in the running to become King or Queen of Invy. Placings are decided on the finishing positions added up and the person with the lowest total wins, if there are any draws the position is then decided on cumulative time. Who will be the first King and Queen of Invy?

Bullen Merri Challenge- April 1st 2012

bmc

Crater lakes region in Western Victoria is often over looked with the Grampians to it's north and the Otways to it's south. Lake Bullen Merri is formed by 3 volcanoes, creating a massive crater and making the deepest lake in Victoria.

The event starts with a 10km paddle around the lake, then an undulating 31km, 2 lap cycling circuit (15.5km) surrounding the lake and finishing with a 12km run around the lakes perimeter. Slightly shorter than the King Valley Challenge and less hills this event is more achievable for those new to multi-sport. The event is also the perfect lead up to the Marysville to Melbourne event. The winners are expected to go around 2 and a half hours.

Event Philosophy

Vigor events are all about fun and fitness, enjoying and respecting the environment and supporting local communities. We aim to introduce new and different events to the sporting calendar that present an exciting opportunity for new challenges. The focus is not on standard format races aimed at giving the competitor a fast time, it's about enjoying the event for what it is, a new experience.

Goal setting is important for every ones motivation, Vigor events are designed  primarily for Vigor clients involved in our clinic and group exercise services, but everyone is welcome to join in.

We aim to provide an array of events, adding more events as we grow. We hope you can enjoy the events on offer as well as the training and adventure weekends and weekly training sessions with us.
