Vigor Health and Fitness is not a gym, but a studio more conducive to personalized individual and group training. We promote functional exercises and stretching around the individual's aims and goals. We see our Personal Training as a means to an end rather than a perpetual cause. We aim to teach you the skills and encourage the confidence to enable you to train on your own with minimal equipment.
Personal Training Sessions
Initial appointments will involve a basic health questionnaire to elicit your goals and preferences (Note this may be done or have been done as a part of a previous Osteopathic or Massage consult). Additional assessments may be done if required and your trainer can advise you as to which are best applicable. Sessions involve exercises and stretching specific1 to you, which may be focused on rehabilitation, sport specific strength training, or just to reach a goal level of fitness. The trainer will work with you to establish preferred goals, and in the process empower you to improve your well being.
Brad, Geordie, Liam and Rachel have extensive stretching & strengthening experience and will be able to improve muscular imbalances, postural problems and prepare the body for activities of daily living as well sport specific such as running, cycling, swimming and paddling. If you enjoy group training then Personal Training can take you to a technical and confidence level to help you get the most out our Group Strength Classesor Group Stretching Classes. We can write you individual training programs that you can take away and perform at home between your sessions or you can make use of our Coaching & Programming service if you have something more specific in mind. 1(see Exercise Focus below) Appointments and Pricing 2Pairs sessions are great for couples or friends who like to motivate each other. Geordie is also an Osteopath and incorporates Osteopathic treatment with specific exercise tuition to help with client's self management. Exercise sessions conducted with Geordie may be claimed through your private health fund. Brad, Liam and Rachel are also Remedial Massagetherapists and can incorporate soft tissue therapy with a personal training session which is particularly good in injury rehabilitation.
