Vigorous Weekends

Join us for fun weekend adventures throughout country Victoria. The idea is to enjoy an active weekend with a group of like minded people. It can be as hard or easy as you like, whether you're training up for an event or just happy to cruise and take in some fresh country air. We also like to put a focus on good food, an active lifestyle requires a healthy diet, so don't worry you won't go hungry on a Vigorous Weekend.

As we become more established and learn more great places to take a group, expect more exciting destinations. In the mean time we suggest you participate in the regular Vigor training sessions on offer so you are fit and ready at any point to escape for a weekend with us.

Next Vigorous Weekend 12-13th November 2011

We will be heading to Wuurong, a private property just outside of Camperdown in Western Victoria, over looking Lake Bullen Merri. Those that join us have a big house to share for accommodation with a wood fire oven for some great home cooked meals. There is plenty of great running, cycling, mountain biking and kayaking on or surrounding the property. We also have access to a heated indoor pool for recovery, rehab or fun, a great way to relax after a long ride, run or kayak.

The weekend plan is confirmed when we reach our maximum of 10 participants, that way we can cater the weekend to the group that's coming. Last years schedule looked like this:

Friday Night-

Arrive at the main house anytime you can after 5pm, to a home cooked meal.

Saturday-

spBreakfast together in main house

Cycle 2hrs through the picturesque undulating country side, enjoy a drink or snack at the local cafe.

Swim and stretch

Lunch at the main house, then relax for an hour or two.

Kayak on the lake, if you haven't tried it before you can have a lesson, equipment can be provided for this at no extra cost.

Dinner preparation together, enjoy the evening together in the main house.

Sunday-

Run around the lake just over the hour, shorter options or walks also fine.

Breakfast when you're ready, before or after run/walk.

Can fit in a cheeky MTB ride here if extra keen, good hills to practice on!

Group stretch, swim if you like and shower ready for pizzas!

All join in to make pizzas in the wood fire oven.

Relax and head back home whenever you want.
